In recent years, this chapter has assisted in research to locate historical sites in the area and has marked Fort Hughes, Fort Scott, and the Jackson Trail. The chapter assisted in marking Camp Recovery and in restoring the monument in 1969. In 1976, a special service was held in Willis Park in Bainbridge to unveil a monument in memory of four Revolutionary soldiers, early settlers buried in Decatur County. Members who have held state offices are: Virginia Ramsey Simmons, Curator, 1933; Consulting Registrar, 1935; May Lee Ramsey, Librarian, 1939; Dawn Hamill, Chapter Regents Club Chaplain, 2023-2024.
