It is one of the oldest landmarks in the city of Acworth, Georgia. Nearby stood Liberty Hill Baptist Church\u2014Acworth\u2019s first Baptist church\u2014built near the cemetery. Liberty Hill Cemetery is the final resting place of some of Acworth\u2019s earliest and most distinguished residents.<\/p>\n<p>The name \u201cLiberty Hill\u201d was chosen by the earliest pioneers of Cobb County, Georgia, as a tribute to their cherished freedom. Both the cemetery and the church are important parts of Acworth\u2019s commitment to preserving its history.<\/p>\n<p>Our chapter meets the second Saturday of the month, from September through May.
