It expands a legacy of community service and preserves our American heritage in service to God, Home, and Country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our members participate in a variety of projects and programs designed to attain those goals, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span class=\"C-5\">helping to restore and maintain historic sites; <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span class=\"C-5\">preserving and making available at DAR Headquarters a collection of genealogical records, artifacts, and historical documents; <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span class=\"C-5\">providing donations and scholarships to support eight schools, including two for American Indians;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span class=\"C-5\">presenting patriotic awards to deserving individuals; and sending care packages of needed items to American military personnel serving overseas.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For information about our next meeting and to make a reservation to attend, <a href=\"mailto:sandyspringsnsdar@gmail.com\">please e-<wbr>mail us<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Chapter Formed by 28 Organizing Members in February 2007, the Sandy Springs Chapter, NSDAR, is dedicated to the national society\u2019s mission of promoting historic preservation, fostering education, and encouraging participation in patriotic activities.
