Our Chapter

Early in the spring of 1919, a group of women met in LaGrange, Georgia, to organize a chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The LaGrange Chapter was officially organized on February 5, 1920. Several members of this group had previously belonged to the Susannah Elliott Chapter, which was organized in LaGrange in 1894 and was later disbanded. The Susannah Elliott Chapter was one of the first DAR chapters established in the United States and the eighth such chapter organized in Georgia.

In February 2019, the LaGrange Chapter celebrated its 100th anniversary at the February meeting.
